Meet the Maker - Janelle Frappell

Meet Janelle- owner of Janelle's Soaps and Succulents in Wellington NSW.

"My style could be described as slightly eclectic, rustic, messy, unorthodox, individual and at times, a little bit crazy. I don’t like to do things the same as everyone else does – take me anywhere and you will find this out. When it comes to soaps, I just do my own thing and use my own ideas and creativity with my designs. If I like the design, I stick to it."

Janelle is based in Wellington NSW, and owns her own business - Janelle's Soaps and Succulents. Her beautiful range of soaps are lovingly handmade in her home using luxurious skin loving oils and ingredients. When I spoke to her late last year, I could tell I had met a very unique lady who, in her own words, isn't very good with technology, but is very good at making soap.

Janelle's range of cold process soaps are luxuriously rustic, making them so unique. She has an all natural range scented with only essential oils and coloured with natural colours, as well as a colourful range that contains either essential or fragrance oils. She has also recently branched out to shampoo and conditioner bars.

Janelle was born and raised in Wellington, and loves spending time with her family.

"I’m a true country bumpkin, or bush baby. I had three years out of Wellington (at Coonabarabran and Dunedoo) and returned to Wellington to marry my hubby Peter, 31 years ago. We have two adult children and two gorgeous grandsons that light up my life."

Janelle is inspired by nature - the colours and the scents - the beauty that surrounds us in country NSW.

"I love taking photos, especially showing the beauty of nature. I also love succulents and creating succulent planters that make people happy!"
