Nature in Metal
COOTAMUNDRA, NEW SOUTH WALES
When Jim and Cathy Hamilton sold their sheep property in rural NSW and moved to a smaller property, they found themselves with a bit of spare time on their hands. With their beautiful garden as inspiration, Jim, an ex-builder, started creating garden art in his welding shed using left-over steel products.
He initially designed pieces for their own use and for relatives. When the local cafe put them on display, his sculptures proved popular. Through word of mouth their client base grew quickly – Nature In Metal was born.
Jim & Cathy have a genuine appreciation for the product and love creating unique pieces that people will enjoy for a long time.
Every Nature In Metal piece is made by hand, lovingly welded by Jim and hand painted by Cathy (if required). This gives each sculpture a unique character.
Their sculptures are made of stainless steel, which stands the test of time, as well as mild steel, which gets a beautiful light rusty appearance when exposed to the elements. They are always looking at new items to create and expand the Nature In Metal range.
